Ryan and Amanda's Wedding, Indianapolis Indiana, Wedding, Portrait; Photography
Posted: January 12, 2012

Recently I had the exciting opportunity to be the photographer for a wedding at the Crown Plaza at Historic Union Station with one of my favorite couples! Amanda was such a beautiful bride it made taking photos easy. We watched as the main hall was transformed into a creative and elaborate fairytale-like ceremony hall that reflected the bride’s look for the day. From the dress, to the flowers, to the long romantic aisle, all the way to the unique archway, everything was perfect. The wedding planner Darcie Kornmeyer totally captured Amanda and Ryan’s vision for their special day. She was so awesome to work with and between her and Katie everything went so smoothly! They were awesome to work with and made it so the bride and groom didn’t have to worry about a thing! It was sweet to watch Amanda in her excitement as she got ready to marry Ryan. At one point she told a friend, “I’m just ready to marry him!” So sweet!
The ceremony hall was then transformed afterwards by a team of people into a grand reception hall that Darcie had designed with Amanda and Ryan. Everything about this wedding day was perfect!
Congratulations Amanda and Ryan!

The Drummond Family, Muncie Indiana, Family Portrait session; Photography

I had so much fun with the Drummond family during their family photo session! It was a surprise photo shoot Christmas present from Abby and her brothers to their parents. What a great gift idea! We did the session at our studio in downtown Muncie.
It was funny to watch the dynamics of the family and was surprisingly easy to capture smiles and laughter with Andrew and Adam cracking jokes and being funny. Never a dull moment with those guys around…and Abby in the middle of it!
They were a really fun family and I am so glad I got to meet them!

Daniel's Senior Session, Muncie Indiana {Senior Portraits}
Posted: November 04, 2011

So, I get this phone call at about the time we start getting busy with next years seniors. It was a mom that was interested in scheduling something for her son’s senior pictures. When asking about a timeline and a schedule her answer was, “well, he leaves for collage August 10, he already graduated”. OK, that’s cool, just have to hurry this one along a bit. We met the following week at a family friends property. With a lake, a field, flowers and a crazy, huge white dog to use a props we found it easy to fill the session time with various poses and locations. Hope you’re having fun in Colorado Daniel, glad I got to meet you before you left!

Amanda & Ryan's engagement session {Muncie Indiana engagement portrait pictures}

For Amanda and Ryan’s engagement session we chose downtown Muncie as our shooting location. Even though they live near Indianapolis now, and the wedding will be in downtown Indianapolis at the Crowne Plaza, for their engagement photo shoot they wanted a vintage, classic downtown session instead of the new building look, hustle and bustle of downtown Indy.   We started out walking around, talking and shooting while going over their wedding plans. They’ve been engaged for 2 years and they’ve been working on this fairy tale wedding since day one! Amanda has hired a fabulous wedding planner but there is still so much to be decided on, bought, counted and organized. During the photo shoot I could tell these two were comfortable with each other and I know their wedding day is going to be absolutely breathtaking~ how could it not be with such a gorgeous bride, a fabulous historical venue and a couple that is completely into the details of the day! I’m so excited Amanda and Ryan to see you November 26th!!!

Zoey {Yorktown Child Portrait Photography}

So, this little sweet pea I have photographed a few times now. I loved her personality after the last photo shoot and this photo shoot was no different. When I got the phone call from her mom about Zoey's second birthday photo session, she mentioned many times, she wants somewhere different, something unique and pretty country...Zoey does, btw, loves wearing her Cowgirl boots so it's only fitting that we find a country setting full of personality! I threw out a couple of ideas and we settled on the perfect location.  I met the three of them for our session and Zoey was cheerful, smiling and ready to go! She is the first 2 year girl old I've seen that isn't scared of grasshoppers, bugs or getting dirty and getting right down in it.  We walked all around our spot with grasshoppers jumping everywhere, wild flowers growing everywhere and a spunky 2 year old that was loving it all!  I'm so flattered, Jodann, that I'm getting to know you and your little girl!  I love your relationship and can tell you she knows she is one loved little girl!
