Samantha and Ryan’s wedding day was gorgeous! The weather was perfect and the wedding went off without a hitch. Every Saturday this year has been amazing. I know God is smiling on me when he brings me clouds, a nice breeze and perfect temperatures. I’m waiting for my crappy weekend to make up for all of these beautiful ones! One of these days, I know my luck is gonna run out...but for now I’m thanking my lucky stars for having another awesome day. The wedding ceremony and reception was held at Lake Placid in Hartford City. I’d never been out there before so I ran out there a few days before the wedding to scope it out. The day of the wedding it was easy to find fun spots to shoot all the wedding pictures. First, we took pictures of the bridesmaids in the trees with the pond in the background. The little ring bearer was all about taking pictures…I’m pretty sure he’s in the background of most of them! The flower girl on the other hand didn’t want to have anything to do with having her picture taken...even when bribed with m&m’s from her mom!? The lake where the wedding ceremony took place was a beautiful place to get married and the old willow tree was a perfect backdrop for the quick ceremony. There were a few memorable things in my mind about Samantha and Ryan’s wedding...of course the Mustang (her dad's baby...next to Samantha of course!) being one of them. What an amazing car and it was so sweet that he drove her to the end of the wedding aisle in it. Another thing that stands out to me is the groomsmen. They were absolutely hilarious. Their minds came up with all sorts of ideas for some crazy pictures. First, they tried to throw Ryan in the lake. Next they talked him into hanging upside down on a tree limb and then they all were pretending to pee on the trees. The final wedding day drama is one any bride would have nightmares about. The wedding cake caught on fire in the oven at the bakery! Thankfully the bakery was able to make another one and get it there before the reception began! I know you’ve heard the wives tale, the more things that go wrong on your wedding day the better the luck you’ll have in your marriage. Of course this is hard to remember in the moment of your perfect day~ but I believe it. It snowed like crazy on my wedding day and my husband and I are about to celebrate our 7 year anniversary. So maybe there’s something to that saying? Anyways, Samantha and Ryan had a good start to their marriage. They were surrounded by friends and family who came to help them celebrate the day. Congrats you two. I wish you the best in your life together.
