Habitat for Humantiy Photo Weekend

I'm just finished up the last of the viewing appointments from our recent Habitat for Humanity fundraising photoshoot.  I'm so excited to get everything all finished all the orders placed and see how much money we're going to be able to give them.  In this economy more than ever Habitat needs good ol cash.  There are more families waiting for houses and if the money isn't there the houses don't get built!  I did have lots of fun meeting new families.  We had a good variety of sessions that weekend, sweet babies, fun and crazy children, way cool mother and son, an engaged couple, and even one couple celebrating their 50 year anniversary this year!  We all got our shooting workout and worked quick with background changing, floor flipping and chasing around little ones for the perfect shots.  I totally apprecaite Erynne and Stefanie putting it all out there and not holding back on the silly faces and crazy antics trying to get the children to laugh.  A zillion thanks to Erynne for keeping things together and moving smoothly all weekend so all I had to do was focus on shooting.  They were both excited to volunteer their time when I asked for the weekend help.  As the weekend wound down I was a little sad it was over.  I sorta liked knowing what I was doing was going to help someone else and it was so sweet to hear that people scheduled session because they love Habitat too!  Common loves are always a good way to start a connection with someone.  I'm hoping this is the first of many events I can coordinate for them~ maybe this could be an annual thing?  Check back soon to find out how much we're donating. Two more viewing/ordering appointments and we'll have the final total!

Thanks so much to everyone who participated, helped and scheduled sessions!  Without you none of this would have been possible! In such a rough economy it's great to see people helping out Habitat and their families in any way they can!
