We can’t say enough about how fabulous this wedding was! We love to travel all over for unique weddings and this Austin TX couple had such great style! We were so thrilled when Jenn & Brooks asked us to photograph their wedding! We eagerly packed up, left the cold November weather in Indiana and headed to Austin. Jennifer’s ballet length dress, red heels and white birdcage netting fascinator were the perfect ensemble for a stylish, classic bride. And Brooks was a dashing groom complimenting Jenn perfectly. They chose some of the most beautiful venues to set the scene for their wedding images. One really great perk of traveling to new places for weddings is the inspiration of a new space! Jenn and Brooks are such a great match too! We love when it’s easy to capture the bride and groom in their element! They had a great time incorporating their fun loving side into their classic style and we had a blast with them!
We are so happy we were chosen to capture their special day and love how all of their wedding day images came out!
Raeanne & Aaron’s wedding was breath taking. Their special day took place at Raeanne’s farmhouse, which added just the right touch of rustic and classic. This was a wedding for us to remember because the bride requested pictures with her show pigs! We enjoyed the challenge of photographing this sweet moment of the bride, her husband, and their love for animals. We absolutely loved spending Raeanne & Aaron’s special day with them and wish them the best! Congratulations!
We had so much fun at Kelsey and Scott’s engagement session and we’re so excited for their wedding in September! These two are so much fun to photograph~they are so playful and so in love! They brought the football for part of their engagement session and those images are some of our favorites! We can’t wait to see you on your big day!
This wedding was absolutely stunning! We loved the venue-the Mustard Seed Gardens were the perfect backdrop for this classic couple. Michelle and Shaden had every detail planned beautifully…the flowers, the accessories, the décor…it was all perfect! Even though the electricity went out for a little while there was no stopping the celebration! The dance floor was packed with Premiere Dance Center girls and everyone danced the night away!
We love this couple and love all of the images from their wedding day! Congratulations Michelle and Shaden!
If you read our blog about our recent “Unplugged Wedding”, those wedding images are finally ready to be revealed!
From day 1, Carlye and David seemed to have such great chemistry and a harmony of their own. When we first met the two of them last year, we knew they were perfect together!
Carlye brought her wedding binder, full of ideas; everything was planned perfectly, tastefully and well thought out. David brought his bride and knew that all he needed was for her to be happy but was also equally involved and enthusiastic about the wedding plans-a great match! Over the next year quick appointments turned into hour long chats…and once the wedding was here, our Kishel team felt like we were just getting to be with our friends at their wedding.
The wedding was full of classic beauty- just like Carlye…. who IS a classic beauty. We loved the unplugged ceremony of course and loved the classic simplicity and elegance of every detail.
We always say that it makes our job easier to capture a bride and groom who are already gorgeous and look perfect together not only off camera but in front of the camera as well…David and Carlye were definitely one of those couples who showed their chemistry and continued to show it in front of the camera flawlessly.
We are so happy we got to capture such a special day for them! Thank you for letting us be a part of it!
Below is one of our favorite images from their day:
A lavender field, a breathtaking wedding gown, and a bride and groom that were meant to be…we love how our images from this special day capture a true love story.
Narah and Caleb were flawless throughout the entire day. Willowfield Lavender Farm was the perfect setting and the bride’s dress was designed around the lavender theme with intricate lavender chiffon flowers worked into the design. We loved everything about this wedding! From the adorable flower girls, to the bride’s elaborate hairstyle, it was all perfect! This is our favorite image from the entire day–it doesn’t get more romantic that this!
Recently, we had a pleasant surprise at a wedding we photographed. The bride and groom requested that it be an “unplugged wedding”.
At the sign in book, they had a framed sign that said,
“Welcome to our Unplugged Wedding. We invite you to be fully present with us during our ceremony. We would really like to see your faces, not your devices. Please turn off all cell phones and cameras.”
As wedding photographers, we try to capture every single significant moment in a wedding ceremony. By the time the date arrives, we have spent hours with the bride and groom catching their vision for what images will be the most important to them from that special day. We spend time strategizing on the day of to make sure we are respectful, yet positioned in prime locations to capture everything in just the way it needs to be to preserve this memory for the bride and groom for their lifetime. However, in the last few years as cell phones, ipads and other devices have become more popular, it has created a new challenge for wedding photographers to capture the reverent beauty of a wedding ceremony. We love that the bride and groom have loved ones capturing moments and sending them pictures later, but we can’t tell you the number of times we have been all set up, completely ready and waiting with baited breathe for the grand entrance of the bride, and as soon as the doors open at the end of the aisle, smartphones, cameras and (yes) ipads are pulled out and everyone is leaning into the aisle to try to capture her big moment…ruining the professional photographers shot that has been deemed one of the most important by the bride.
You definitely don’t want to have this happen in all of your photos…here’s a few of our favorite bloopers that other photographers have captured…
We have learned to adjust and try to work around devices, people popping into the aisle and even flashes (yes, camera flashes are not only disruptive, but ruin the light settings we have already established on our cameras), but it was refreshing to look back at our images from this particular wedding and not see electronic devices lining the aisle or blocking the bride. There are ways of being discreet with your device, but many people get swept away in the intensity of the moment and forget that there are professionals trying to capture the perfection of the ceremony. If you’re a bride that doesn’t want to have the aisle lined with electronic devices, you may consider an unplugged wedding as a wonderful way to have everyone fully present with you on your big day.
There’s nothing more flattering/intimidating than being asked to photograph the wedding of an event coordinator from Horizon Convention Center. We were so excited when Amy approached us about capturing her special day! As an event coordinator, we didn’t know what to expect from her…but she knew all the right people and she just let everyone be as creative as they wanted. She was the best bride ever! So laid back! We attribute this to the excitement bubbling over from Amy all day long about her groom to be. They are the sweetest couple! The wedding was flawless and we have never seen such a beautiful ceremony at Horizon.
